Winners of the “Emerging Act of the Year” award at the UK Blues Awards last year, the Terraplanes Blues Band formed in 2013 as a duo. Members Nick Scrase and Eduardo Allen shared a love of authentic delta blues when they met during an open mic night in Bristol. The pair took their name from the first record ever released by legendary bluesman and huge influence of both…Robert Johnson. Luckily for them, Bristol has a great amount of venues for all genres and they quickly started making appearances at small pubs and acoustic showcases.

In 2014 Nick and Ed had residency at Under The Stars, a harbourside boat/bar, played the Oxjam Festival and the famous MOLES CLUB in Bath. Around the end of 2014, the songs that Scrase was writing were more suited to a four piece so they started to look for musicians to form the band.
