Buster James are the real deal, born to perform their own brand of Rock and Blues to any audience, their line-up contains players who have performed to audiences worldwide and recorded with artists as diverse as Steve Marriott, Dire Straits, Dave Stewart, Bill Wyman, FM and Iron Maiden.

As usual, cash at the door is preferred.

Alice Armstrong is a multi-award-nominated singer-songwriter and entertainer from Surrey, UK. She is known for her impressive vocal range, dynamic songwriting, and unmatched stage presence.

Playing with Alice is the award-winning Stevie Watts, one of the UK's most sought-after Hammond organists and pianists and is proud to be a member of Willie & The Bandits as well as part of the touring bands for Connor Selby, True Strays, Alice Armstrong and Nashville based Grammy award winner Mike Farris' UK band. Stevie also runs his project, The Stevie Watts Organ Trio.

Blistering blues rock power trio Tore Down, with one of the best blues guitarists you will see. An incredible set of full-on blues rock played with passion, soul and intensity in their own highly improvised, unique style.

Born and raised in Pasadena, California, Guy Tortora is currently based in London, UK. As a songwriter and performer, he does what people like to call Americana these days—a hard term to define, but if to you, it means original songs, well constructed, and well performed, then you should check him out.

The Electric Experience (UK) are a south London based, established rock covers and originals band, fronted by guitarist singer Pete Orr (also of Voodoo Room), with son Callum on drums.

Peter G & The Magnatones offer a harmonica-driven combo, playing a distinctive blend of authentic post-war electric blues. We absolutely cannot wait!

Authentic, raw Rhythm & Blues from the East Anglian Delta played with feel, energy and humour. Blues Situation cuts across a host of blues styles with strong songwriting, sharp lyrics, exciting guitar work, gritty Chicago-style harmonica, and a rhythm section that really grooves.

Established in 1990 by Luke, the band moved to Amsterdam full-time two years later. After disbanding in 1996, Luke returned to the UK to pursue other projects. The band was resurrected in 2011 by original member Luke Arnold and former Mean Red Spiders & Groove Doctors drummer John Butters; Kelvin Hill on bass and Mark Stuart on guitar, both former members of Built for Comfort.

After recording the band’s first album, Wonderful World, former Mean Red Spider, Toni Vines, replaced Mark on guitar for most of the band’s gigs in 2012. Craig Fillbrook followed in 2014 and has provided a compelling rock’n’roll edge to the sound

Two albums have been released in the past six years (Wonderful World and Sweet Like This). The third is on its way this year. The band has appeared at venues, festivals and Boogaloo weekenders, large and small, across the UK, as well as BBC and Internet radio

Smoky vocals, sensitive guitar, blues with a touch of soul, country and rhythm’n’blues. As the original guitarist in Nicky Moore’s Blues Corporation, he toured The UK and Europe. He later became the guitar-man for ten years with Angela Brown (Chicago blues diva) and her band The Mighty 45s. Apart from touring much of Europe and headlining major festivals, Nigel’s guitar was captured by legendary producer Mike Vernon on Angela’s album: “Thinking Out Loud”. This work also included a performance from Carey Bell on Harp and a ghostly sample of the late, great Willie Dixon. Recorded in 1998, it became Blues Album of the Year! Since leaving the Mighty 45s in 2006, Nigel has worked with such legends as Fleetwood Mac’s Peter Green, Chris Farlowe and Miller Anderson.

Rich was a professional musician who graduated from Leeds College of Music in 1986, where he studied guitar and composition. Leeds was one of the only colleges in the UK at that time that specialised in a degree in Light Music. This led Richard to play with and tour with TV stars of that time, such as Ronnie Corbett, Charlie Drake, Les Denis, Dana, The Platters and Tony Christie, to name but a few.

When he moved to London in the late eighties, he decided to leave the professional music field and play for fun after becoming disillusioned with the professional music scene. Soon, the fun dried up, and he hung his guitar up for good when he moved to Essex in 2001.

Later in that decade, he was inspired (after watching a jam session at the Bewick Suite in Maldon, Essex) to start to play again. He got his guitars out of hock, formed the Boss Cats, and gigged as a hard-rocking blues trio in the style of Stevie Ray Vaughn, later morphed into the cool sound of the Mighty Boss Cats in a more relaxed incarnation.

Born out of several well-proven bands, the Fat Penguins play an intriguing mixture of up-tempo blues with many influences. They’ll be bringing their hard-driving blues and R&B sound to see off July at Blues at Barleylands.

Mississippi MacDonald is a three-time British Blues Awards nominee from London, England. He has been playing since he was 11 years old and has travelled extensively on the US blues trail, meeting, amongst others, Pinetop Perkins, Willie Big Eyes Smith, Otis Clay, and BB King. In 2010, he was part of the team that purchased a gravestone for the late Hi Records recording artist and soul legend OV Wright.

Blues In Britain magazine praised “…Mississippi’s Albert Collins’ flavoured guitar work….blistering. Soulful vocals and excellent fretwork. Genuine blues, played with passion and hugely appreciated”.

Martin McNeill is an old-school blues performer with a distinctive slide guitar style, shortlisted as acoustic act of the year in the 2024 UK Blues Awards.

He has received high praise for his live performances, recordings and online livestreams. Radio presenter and music promoter Stephen Foster calls him “one of the country’s finest bottleneck blues guitarists.”

Martin lives in Leigh-on-Sea and plays solo, duo and band gigs in Essex, London, Kent, Suffolk and beyond.

Winners of the “Emerging Act of the Year” award at the UK Blues Awards last year, the Terraplanes Blues Band formed in 2013 as a duo. Members Nick Scrase and Eduardo Allen shared a love of authentic delta blues when they met during an open mic night in Bristol. The pair took their name from the first record ever released by legendary bluesman and huge influence of both…Robert Johnson. Luckily for them, Bristol has a great amount of venues for all genres and they quickly started making appearances at small pubs and acoustic showcases.

LEAVIN’ TRUNK is the latest exciting venture by five great musicians and entertainers already familiar to many with a working knowledge of the UK blues scene.

Two things unite the music of Leavin’ Trunk: A powerful, funky groove, infused with a scintilla of New Orleans gumbo; and some great tunes - band originals and re-interpretations of wonderful old songs from all sorts of obscure corners of the blues and soul catalogue. We defy you NOT to dance to this band!

Sheffield, the steel city in the north of England with a rich vein of musical and artistic talent; from Joe Cocker, Def Leppard, Pulp, Arctic Monkeys, to Michael Palin, Dominic West, Sean Bean and Brian Glover, also has spawned bearded southern rock extraordinaires The Fargo Railroad Co.

Harking back to the roots of country rock and blues, with touches of Lynryd Skynrd, Allman Brothers, Little Feat and the 70s sound of Cash, Young and Dylan, they appeal to the contemporary Blackberry Smoke and Jason Isbell fan bases.

Mojo Preachers are a five piece band who started life playing blues. As their original songs have now become the major part of their performance their style has evolved to include influences from American West Coast and Deep South (Steely Dan, Little Feat) as well as the best of blues (Beth Hart, Jo Harmon).

The Heaters are a dynamic, horn-led, five-, seven-, and nine-piece live band with male lead vocals, rich harmonies, lead guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboards and percussion. The Heaters burst onto the Essex music scene in 1995 and never looked back. Motion, Movement, and Energy are three words that best describe this seven-piece 2 horn section super group that electrifies every audience with a combination of high-energy songs from the past with the hits of today.

They’ll be celebrating their 300th gig at the Blues at Barleylands Club on Saturday, June 8th, so make sure to come down for the milestone show!

Formed 11 years ago to pay homage to the original Dr Feelgood, The Feelgood Band focus on the ‘Gypie’ Mayo period of the 1970’s. There’s no-one who quite captures the sound of the originals than these guys, you won’t want to miss it!

Born in 1950’s London Dexter became a mainstay of the British Blues scene after sound engineering for Dr Feelgood. Dexter Shaw & The Wolftones were formed in the 90’s before Dexter disappeared to rural France. He is now regularly playing in the UK and Europe and is considered one of the best out there playing that old school blues 50’s style.

Funky, Bluesy, Rocky, Swampy. Geoff Everett and the Crow Hill Roadsters are a sizzling groove of a band looking to melt your socks off!

Jamie Williams and the Roots Collective are Jamie Williams on vocals & rhythm guitar, Dave 'The Hat' Milligan on lead guitar, Jake 'The Dude' Milligan on Bass & James Bacon on drums. They exist on an imaginary tightrope stretching between Tom Petty & The Rolling Stones. Settled into the current super-tight line-up after many years and hundreds of shows, the band is now on fire, playing their own style of Country Blues, Rock & Americana at festivals, venues, clubs & pubs, including a couple of rapturous nights at London's legendary 100 Club, their ethos is always to have fun and make sure the crowd does too. This is not a band that stands onstage staring at their (red) shoes.

Founded by guitarist Gary Seager when he moved to Kent from South East London, Bad Pennies started as a covers band playing around the Kent pub scene. Gaz had played in several original bands around London in a previous life. His style was very much influenced by Blackmore, Page, Johnny Winter, and Rory Gallagher.

Steve Whalley has drawn the attention of and consequently forged working relationships with, artists at the very foundations of British and American popular and traditional music. Artists include Chuck Berry, Ry Cooder, Taj Mahal, James Burton and Gerry Rafferty. Wherever he performs, audiences are left spellbound by his powerful and emotive delivery. His guitar style combines immense power and unorthodox savvy, ranging from Cooder-esque slide/bottleneck through gospel, soul, rock, reggae and country. He has appeared on the Glastonbury main stage several times and is an old friend of the great Michael Eavis. Steve is currently signed to Spectra Records, USA.

Big Wolf Band will be making the trip to Barleylands on 20th April, bringing with them a classic afternoon of Blues you won’t want to miss.

Mike has collaborated with some of the brightest lights in the UK emerging artists scene, such as Elles Bailey, Jack J Hutchinson & Troy Redfern. What’s more, he’s an international touring musician who has played live music on every continent & in most European countries.
