From the moment The 251s hit the stage you’re transported to a place and time where jumpin’ blues, jazz, and swing rules.
Featuring musicians at the top of their game, their energetic shows deliver a host of classic favourites from yesteryear and
fresh contemporary originals.
Steve Tolton
In love with jazz, blues & swing from an early age, Steve is The 251s’ front man, sharing vocal duties with Roy and Graham, while brandishing his own style of hard-driving harmonica and showmanship.
Russ Cottee
For over 30 years Russ has earnt his dues with such notable UK blues acts as the Honky Tinkers and Blues Spiders. His tone-rich signature
guitar style captures the likes of Bill Jennings, Hollywood Fats, Billy Butler, Chris Corcoran, Tommy Harkenrider and Grant Green.
Graham West
Graham has been a familiar feature on the Rock ‘n’ Roll scene for many years, and shares his artful sax in The 251s with Julie Jive &
The Big Shots. He’s well known for both his honking baritone and prodigious, rip-roaring tenor sax breaks.
Steve Tolton
Cliff MacDonald
He literally hasn’t stopped playing bass for over four decades and has enjoyed working with a wide variety of bands in and around jazz, blues and swing. Together with Roy, Cliff drives the rhythm section with verve, style and energy.
Roy Webber
One of the UK’s finest blues drummers Roy has served his time with the wonderful Cadillac Kings, and also plays with Steve West Weston and Martin McNeill’s Bottleneck Blues. Roy’s style is one of legendary blues shuffles, groove-laden brushwork and relentless rhythm & boogie.
